Neon Bunny

Photography Kim Taekyun

야광토끼 - 왕자님 / Neon Bunny - Oh My Prince from smallwild on Vimeo.

With her sweetly barbed lyrics and Technicolor wardrobe, Neon Bunny has emerged as the bushy-tailed poster-girl of the emerging K-indie scene. Love Love... Check out her video "Oh my prince" above- apparently the lyrics tell her "prince" to get the "bleep" out of her life.. we like the Art direction and vintage low tech Ombre  effects.

"All that's wonderful, incomprehensible, splendid, enchanting, surrounding us in the world depends on repetition and multiplication."

"Theory of Regular Plane Division" - MC Escher

We are so deeply inspired by the work, philosophies, and science of MC Escher. His work, geometric artistry of patterns, give a sense of something ancient, something eternal. Inspired themselves from Ancient Arabic geometric motifs, each pattern repeating itself endlessly in a two dimensional universe.Escher, inspired- populated these two dimentional universes with figures drawn from reality.

Watch his documentary, "Metamorphose", directed by John Bosdriesz below. For more on his amazing life story and work - visit the official MC Escher website:

Jonathan Saiz paintings are Facet'nating

These paintings by artist Jonathan Saiz conjure up for us feelings of futuristic modernity. We love the obvious references to cubism and the almost morphing of surrealist imagery infused within the seemingly reflective facets of the work. There is a definitive hand made feel here that is unique yet familiar.

SHADOWS IN THE SUNSHINE STATE: ART BASEL MIAMI

In the late 1660s, Sir Isaac Newton revealed light as the sole source of color. Over 300 years later, Japanese artist Hiroshi Sugimoto revisited Newton's experiment, building a chromatic chronicle of shifting shadows produced by a prism in a light-filled room, using a Polaroid camera as his capture device. This year, Hermès transformed 20 of Sugimoto's photographs into limited-edition scarves. Titled "Couleurs de l'Ombre," the collection represents the French house's third edition of its carré d'artiste and will be on view Friday through Sunday at Hermès' temporary space: 175 N.E. 40th St. in the Design District.
